LocalLing’s very first joint secondment at the University of Thessaly brought together colleagues from 10 countries: Cameroon, Colombia, Estonia, France, Greece, Morocco, Romania, Spain, Togo, and Tunisia.
The secondees had the opportunity to take part in presentations, workshops, seminars, lectures, and even a linguistic landscape walk, a library tour, and a book presentation. These joint activities enabled researchers to share insights into the projects and topics they have been working on, as well as to explore possible future collaboration opportunities by combining expertise from various perspectives. New connections were made, discussions were sparked, and it is safe to say that this is just the beginning.
We are grateful to our Greek hosts for a very well-planned programme and for the evident care and consideration that made everyone feel welcome throughout.
