Over the following four years, LocalLing will build an international, interdisciplinary network dedicated to promoting the use, maintenance, teaching, and learning of local minority heritage languages. Bringing together expertise from linguistics, education, cultural studies, governance, and social sciences, the project combines theoretical insight with practical impact.
Our consortium unites:
Tallinn University, Zaragoza University, University of Thessaly, University of Manouba, Université de Montpellier Paul-Valéry, University of Bucharest, Itqan Foundation: Research, Study Abroad, and TAFL, University of Buea, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, Togolese State Archive, University of Caldas, University of Abomey-Calavi, and University of Cheikh Anta Diop.
Together, we aim to strengthen sustainable language practices, foster cross-sector collaboration, and create lasting partnerships across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Excited for the journey ahead!
